Facilities
Portneal Lodge is renowned for its Angling facilities. We have a peaceful river flowing with Wild Salmon on our doorstep, however there are some restrictions on Salmon fishing on some areas of the River Bann which are privately leased. The area surrounding Portneal Lodge is open for Salmon fishing.
Portneal Lodge was originally built as a facilitiy to accommodate Course Angling fishermen on the banks of The River Bann. Unfortunately the Fishing stands have been neglected over the years by the previous owners. We are now in the process of gaining access to repair these stands from The Ministry of Agriculture (DECAL) to alleviate this problem.

We have a refrigerated Bait facility and Lockers available on site to help you enjoy your fishing experience.
Manor Lake
A new Course fishing facility will be opened by the end of August 2009 on our 12 acre Lake nearby to Portneal and is currently stocked with large Pike, Bream and Carp. Car access is available surrounding the total perimeter of the Lake, making it ideally suitable for Disabled people and is close at hand to The Manor House for a food and refreshment.

All necessary permits are available at Portneal Lodge Reception.
